I was under the impression that this book would be more of the same superficial information found in most articles and books on the same subject matter. Amy does a fabulous job of self-help for those with chronic pelvic pain. This is a must read book. As Barrett says in her introduction, "Even though much clinical data relating dreams and trauma have been gathered in recent years, this information has for the most part been reported only in presentations at professional meetings while little has been written on this topic.
