Most importantly, it demonstrates that the neurological basis of dreams is NOT the same as that of REM sleep - overthowing several decades of sleep-research dogma. This book is written from Nyx's POV, and the author also seems to have bought stock in the word "my". Beneath the Swans' glamorous and assured surface, there are questions about the purpose of their lives, and the risks to their marriages and status as they age.
There is a scene at the beginning of the book when Truman sees Babe greeting husband Bill Paley when he comes home from work. This has been a quick and easy read.. The NASL really was a carnival like experience and where the quality of play was far higher than many people assumed it would be.
