I also highly recommend The Touch of Healing by Alice Burmeister, which incorporates the ancient Japanese healing art of Jin Shin Jyutsu.. In the final chapter Solms offers a model of the neurological basis of the normal dream process, which has clear implications for various dream theories (eg Freud's). I learned some "hidden curriculum" that I didn't think existed. When this book came out more than 10 years ago, nothing else existed on the effects of psychological trauma on dreams. If you're going to use this textbook for a course, I suggest you buy a supplement because this textbook will leave you confused.. Basic, and simply written. The goal here is depth, as many features not deemed critically important in Level 1 are revisited to explore additional advanced options."
