From 1999 to 2008 he was on staff at the Pratt Institute of Design and as visiting instructor at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). To be outcast is cool soemtimes, it doesn't help pay any bills,you need to be a Derridean for that to find a normative world. Iconic is one of those books that you can leaf through over and over again and get a different experience each time. They come from many various walks of life and I found both their personal stories and the author's interactions with the subjects really inspiring.His insight into and reaction to different personalities is amazing.
This is a great read!. Describing these concepts to people is very difficult. Yet he has a deep-rooted feeling for humanity; he can't quite seem to find a place for its demise. He also wisely asks you to put aside concerns about drawing accuracy (for the time-being) and just get comfortable creating and modifying these basic objects, testing your skill by emulating simple example drawings.
As you acquire each new tool the drawings in that chapter incorporate it as well. The original book I received had black smudges on
