Editorial : "Suburban Zombie High proves not only to be a funny, dramatic story, but also a sarcastic one. Flagg incorporates the essence of high school awkwardness combined with a life or death situation. To say the least, he nailed it on the head. Those who abhor high school stereotypes will come to laugh at their brilliant portrayal in this novel and realize they still remain original and likable (or in some cases, hateable). Very well done indeed." - Alexa Wilcox, Student
"I enjoyed it! It was off the wall, sarcastic, and campy throughout. (I even caught myself giggling out loud during my morning commute a few times!) Definitely worth a read!" - Emily Padden

An infection turns students into zombies, and now they roam the hallways looking for survivors. Between homeroom and gym, students will fight for their lives in hopes they can flee the impending apocalypse at Boxford High. A group of unlikely companions; the popular kid, the artist, the athlete, the loudmouth, the shy kid, the crazy librarian, and the favorite English teacher, band together to survive the zombie apocalypse. As they try to flee the school they find the random zombie outbreak might not be so random after all. Suburban Zombie High School looks at the unrealistic world of suburban America and the oftentimes-delusional

In each of the stories that I have read from Marie, she imbues her characters with such lifelike qualities and issues that they literally could walk among us, and probably do. The risen Lord Jesus makes Himself known over breakfast. This book did not keep my students' attention and, while the rhyming is cute, it makes very little sense for young children.. Really fun and creepy. I purchased this book along with the student activity book and teacher's guide for our homeschool curriclum. Collins avoided the preaching for the most part, somehow the dialogue often came off as too modern in its phrasing or flippant in the author's attempt to show Daniel with a sense of humor. Or
