Drawing from her personal experiences, Judy Endow, author of the 2010 and 2011 Hidden Curriculum Calendars, provides lots of hidden curriculum items that pertain to most areas of adult life. In relating how she personally has learned to more successfully maneuver social interactions, she also presents a framework for developing the ability to more quickly assess a situation and take steps to avoid making social blunders BEFORE they have been committed. He is both reckless and responsible, irreverent and honorable, content and yet filled with many regrets. Perahia and Stacey have a very straight forward way of writing and get right to the meat of what you need to know to understand and use WLAN effectively, or to create your own implementations. But the info is great, it takes visualization to a whole new level. The book contains all the technical details you need to understand the IEEE 802.11 standards (which on their own can be a little cryptic if you are not a regular at IEEE meetings). I learned a lot about bees and what amazing insects they are. They focus on the improvements in the more recent "n" and "ac" amendments, but they give enough 802.11 a/b/g background to avoid leaving anyone behind. Years of theory does that to you.
