Editorial : An oil spill jeopardizes sea life in this environmental songbook. If the fate of the planet is in children's hands, reading them books like this one might be a wise idea. New York-based songwriter Lavin and award-winning illustrator Betsy Franco Feeney have joined creative forces with the goal of promoting clean energy. Inspired by the catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf Of Mexico in 2010, the book begins with a cracked pipeline and ends with wildlife cleanup efforts, a chronicling best paired with folksy music, as it turns out. Pop in the book's accompanying CD, and let The Guys & Dolphins All-Starfish band take it away. Reminiscent of catchy classroom tunes like The Green Green Grass Grows All Around, Lavin's song relies on repetitive rhythms and layering (There's a hole in the bottom of the sea / There's a pipe in the hole in the bottom of the sea / There's a crack in the pipe in the hole in the bottom of the sea). It's a tried formula but
A hopeful tale and song inspired by the Gulf Oil tragedy, this book shows how clean energy can help save wildlife and power our world without harm to the environment. Includes music CD. How ironic that the Gulf of Mexico oil spill began on EARTH Day 2010. Using a traditional tune with all-new lyrics, Christine Lavin has created a simple yet powerful message that will have children feeling for the plight of our wildlife while at the same time, giving them ideas on how to make the world a cleaner and safer place. The book has already garnered high praise from Kirkus: If the future of our planet is in the hands of our children, then reading them books like this one might be a wise ideaFranco Feeney's thoughtfully detailed illustrations of oil-slicked sea critters will tug at young readers' heartstrings. Experts from the fields of environmental science, wildlife rehabilitation, education, marine biology, renewable energy and earth science all contributed to the science-filled
Was a great book for a low price. You will find solid analysis and explanations of RF, Phy and MAC layer protocols and you will find detailed information about all the new features for enhanced robustness and throughput, such as MU-MIMO, aggregation and beamforming. I apreciate the new merits and flaws that they put in the book and to all Vampire players BUY THIS BOOK!!!. While Matt was at school, Riley started to pick on him because he might be a threat. In 1991 Davies won the ABC Eureka Prize for the promotion of science in Australia. Nothing like a "Carl" book to read and look at the amazing artwork with those small grandchildren. The pictures are of beautiful landscapes. The publisher should be ashamed.
My take is that the book is useful as a quick once-over before the exam. Teens need role models to look up to and young stars like Christina, Britney or the Backstreet Boys do fill that need to some extent. It cannot be easily replaced by Wikipedia, as many encyclopedias
